One Great Hour of Sharing

Giving That Brings Hope
Each year during Easter, First Presbyterian Church of Grove City participates in One Great Hour of Sharing, a special offering of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) that helps transform lives around the world.
This offering is one of the most powerful ways we express our commitment to compassion, justice, and healing. It supports ministries that respond to immediate needs and long-term challenges—bringing food, shelter, and hope to people facing disaster, hunger, and oppression.
Where Your Gifts Go
Your generous contributions help fund:
-
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance
Offering immediate relief and long-term recovery support to communities affected by hurricanes, earthquakes, war, and other crises. -
The Presbyterian Hunger Program
Tackling the root causes of hunger through sustainable solutions, food security programs, and advocacy. -
Self-Development of People
Empowering marginalized communities to build stronger futures through grants, partnerships, and leadership training.
Together, these three ministries work to bring hope and healing to thousands of people each year—both across the globe and in communities just like ours.
A Church Built on Compassion
Our congregation has faithfully supported One Great Hour of Sharing for many years, recognizing that this shared offering is not just about charity—it's about solidarity. It’s about answering Christ’s call to love our neighbor and stand with those who are struggling.
“And the king will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these... you did it to me.’”
— Matthew 25:40
